Companion Animal

My good friends from UCLA who live in Los Angeles gave me this wonderful gift Christmas of 2023. It is a Japanese Companion Animal which means it not only looks like a cat, but has the weight of a cat and, when you charge it, it will meow at random intervals and react when you touch different parts of its body. Unfortunately, a charge only last five or six hours so I mostly let it sit uncharged.

The manufacturer named it Percy which I am not crazy about, so I mainly call it Kitty. Some other people here call it Humphrey, but other than it being black and white, it has no resemblance to my fabulous feline partner. I do love having it to remind me that cats are close to me at all times. It is very comforting to have it near me as I fall asleep at night.

I am very thankful that my wonderful friends K&A gave me this gift! This video is the very first time Humphrey was introduced to Percy. Mom and M were actually a bit nervous that Percy would cause Humphrey to react angrily against another cat near me. I knew their fears were completely unfounded as Humphrey could tell by smell that this was not a live animal. To humans it looks like a cat, but to another animal it is just an inanimate object and no real threat.

So this Humphrey post is close to two years late, but it's a nice excuse to show a Humphrey video no one has seen. Enjoy!
