I was looking forward to watching part two as part one was so good. It was mainly about the TV show, and it really made me want to go back and watch the whole thing. Ultimately, I cried because he died so young. He did have a relationship at the end, which was great, and he did tell his own story, which is so important. What a singular voice. RIP Pee-wee.

My cousin texted me as she and her husband had just visited my dad's cousin. She's 96, and I keep telling myself to call her, but never do. Now’s my chance! It was still early in the day, which was good because she lives in Illinois and is five hours ahead of me. I called and had a wonderful conversation with her for half an hour! She kept saying she was so happy I called, which made me feel great. We also talked about Dad and his death and about death in general, a little bit. She is not worried about it. Great! She is at the point where it is difficult to deal with being alive. I think I will call her next week also.
My masseuse was not able to come today, so we rescheduled for Friday at 2 PM.

Before it happens, I have lots of trepidation in anticipation of the shower. I hate the way they wash my back and transfer me to the shower gurney, but it's got to be done. The warm water is nice, but it's not always warm, and I have to endure being washed in my private parts, which, I cannot stress enough, is pretty torturous when not done by you. Then it’s over, and I'm nice and clean, and all that torture is behind me.
J came by himself today, as B is watching their daughter’s extremely cute dog. The cutie is nine years old, and I forget her breed, but it is one that is prone to health problems, and that is what she is experiencing now. Feel better soon, stinkin’ cutie! (The moniker works for any pet!)
J brought me spring rolls from a Vietnamese restaurant. There were four rolls, so I ate two tonight, and we put two away for tomorrow. My evening CNA was someone new who worked quickly, but I was a little worried that she would skip over some things. Anyway, I got to bed and fell asleep eventually.

Mom said that she wanted to join my session with Dr R this morning. It's always good to have a mediator when Mom and I are discussing things, so I had no problem with her coming at the last minute. Dr. R texted that she would leave Freddie at home, but I asked her to bring him so he could stay in the routine of coming, even if he just stayed in the stroller the whole time.
We kind of rehashed the argument about the pills, but in doing so, Mom got a few questions answered. I think it resolved in a good place, but we shall see… I learned at dinner why I was right to be nervous last night. There was nothing in the refrigerator for me to eat tonight. Somehow, my CNA had thought that the nurse would put the food into the refrigerator. I think she left the food somewhere for the nurse to put away, and of course, it just got thrown out. NO!! That food was so yummy, and I was very pissed off I could not have it for dinner tonight. I will ask for another batch of spring rolls from the same restaurant next week.

I also did not talk to my friend in Michigan yesterday. She had sent an article that I wanted to finish reading before we spoke. I suggested we speak every other week so we have time to process everything we talked about. She then sent me three other articles to counter things she had read on my website. Yikes! Seeing both sides means having to work a little harder.
I also want to find out how to record our conversations, as she was open to me putting them up on the website. We'll see if that happens. I had a really crappy night last night, and I ended up canceling the masseuse because I really didn't feel good.

Yay! I get to see my sister for the first time since she left! I put in my sushi order and waited patiently. My lunch came, but I told them I would eat with my sister when she came, which ended up being about 45 minutes later. But then I had yummy sushi to eat! She got me a caterpillar roll, which is a shrimp tempura roll covered in avocado, and a California roll with shrimp instead of crab. Very tasty with a nice big chunk of avocado! I stretch two packages of sushi into three meals: dinner and breakfast tomorrow morning.
My sister gave me the first of I don't know how many small presents she brought back from her travels. This was a small pack of four maple sugar candies. I love those! Since it had been in her suitcase for over two weeks, the candy was not fresh but dried out. Luckily, they were still made of maple sugar, and even though the center was not soft and gooey, I would still be able to enjoy them.
She also put up cards that I had gotten, and we watched the penultimate episode of season two of Lioness. A good day!

Mom showed up before lunch, and I was very happy to see her! I had forgotten to take a picture with my sister yesterday, so we tried today with my CNA and my mom. It came out close, but I will try again with M to get it perfect. I have examples to show M so he can get it just right.
Then Mom and I played almost a week’s worth of Connections. A bunch of them stumped us, so we knew we were rusty. I wrote most of my blog and stopped myself from getting sucked into Netflix, so I actually got a good night’s sleep! I hope everyone has a fabulous week!
I had two OK versions of this picture, but I waited until M got here and took a perfect version with his camera. The figurine of the Eiffel Tower is wonderful and says PARIS down the front edge of it. It sits on the shelf next to Humphrey's picture so I can see it all the time! Enjoy!
