My sister was supposed to have a trial happening on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi this month, but her client took a plea deal, so the trial was canceled. She kept the rental and invited Mom to join her for the weekend, which meant Mom was not here today for the movie. It was my turn to pick, but I was completely clueless, so I asked M for a suggestion.
This movie is an early example of Ozploitation, or movies from Australia that are exploitative. This movie is from 1971, stars Gary Bond and Donald Pleasence in a story about a teacher from Britain and the debauchery that happens when he vacations at a remote Australian town in the outback. Lots of drinking, almost sex, a horrible kangaroo slaughter, and then strong hints of gay sex follow. Sounds like fun, right? Nope! Not to me either.

Another good massage from D1 today. I spent the day watching TV or movies, procrastinating my blog, and generally futzing around. That night I could not stop bypassing into my diaper. And, since I was having a suppository in the morning, I drank at least a bag and a half, if not two bags, during the evening. That helps me eliminate everything effectively.

I had peed so much that both pads and my shirt had to be changed! (It's good for me to drink water, but not necessarily that much water!) I hadn't been able to fall asleep until early in the morning, so I was exhausted. There was a resident council meeting scheduled for today, but I just did not feel up to getting in my chair, so I declined to attend. Sorry!
Mom came at lunch and brought me a miso salmon salad from Diamond Head Grill. She got here about half an hour after I ate the hospital lunch, so I would have the salad for dinner. I also asked her to ask for extra salad dressing so I could use that instead of the salad dressing from the hospital. (Even a little change like that makes the meal more interesting.)

This morning I got a text from the Russian lady I met from my friend's podcast. I know I will work with her, it is just a matter of when. I need to talk with my sister about the financials, and I think I have a good way of approaching the situation. We shall see.
I had another good visit with Dr R and Freddie! He was, once again, eager to get out of the stroller and onto the bed. I like this trend! I had the salad Mom brought yesterday for lunch and dinner today! Yum!
The peeing, which had been going on since I started last night, stopped since I had been drinking so much water I flushed all the bacteria out of me! How nice…

I think part of the reason for my excessive bypassing is I have had this catheter for over three weeks, and it will be changed on Monday. When the catheter has been in me for a while, bacteria build up, and my body reacts. I think the other part of this is the supplements I take. I will be retested next week Saturday, and I am finishing up all the pills I have now. My body is naturally so full of bacteria that the pills really help to fight everything off and keep me in normal good health. Since I am running out of everything, my body’s natural defenses are weakened, and I am a little bit sicker.

Mom came after I was done with lunch. We played some games and talked until my stepbrother and his wife showed up with shrimp pad Thai. (I always like it when my visitors overlap.) Everyone caught up with each other and saw current pics of their infant granddaughter. Cute! Then Mom left, and an hour or so later I was alone again. But with Pad Thai!

My sister had had an all-day conference for work on Saturday, which is why she and Mom switched days to visit me. My sister showed up before noon with one package of sushi and no salad because she had gone to a different Whole Foods and they did not have the good kale salad. Poop! They did have the same veggie dragon roll, which I love, but it was rolled very loosely and fell apart a bit when she was feeding it to me. It tasted just as good all the same.
We ended up calling two different older relatives to check in. That was good. Then we had a talk about money, which I thought went better than it usually does. My father left an inheritance that my sister is nervous to distribute to me without messing up my Medicaid. Instead, she will pay bills with the money so nothing goes to me directly. (Like food for my birthday party. Thanks, Dad!)
Before my sister left on Sunday, I had her take a shot for the blog. Besides the cool postcard she sent me from the Big Island, she got me a T-shirt from Volcanoes National Park. I haven't looked yet, but I suspect it is a men's large, so it will be very easy to put on. I usually ask people to get me shirts in men's medium, but this works too. Thanks, sis!
Have a great week!
